Best Time to Visit

October to March

The heat starts relenting by October. Though the day temperatures can still be high, nights are relatively cooler. Come November, the days tend to get cooler. December, January and February are the best months for all kinds of day tours including fort visits, camel safaris, horseback safaris. Clear skies with chilly nights call for camping under the stars in the Thar Desert. The temperatures again begin to rise in March but the first half of it still allows you to have a good holiday in Rajasthan.

April to September

The summer starts to kick in by April. May and June are the hottest months in Rajasthan with hot winds making outdoor activities impossible. Late July and August see intermittent rains which increase the humidity. September comes as a relief but the temperatures remain high.

How to Get There

By Air

Jaipur International Airport is the main airport in Rajasthan. It has international flights as well as all major domestic connections. Udaipur and Jodhpur are the other two airports with decent connectivity to the metropolitan cities of India.

By Train

All major cities and towns of Rajasthan are well-connected by railways. Jaipur is the major hub which has trains coming in and going out to most cities in India

By Road

National Highways and State Highways criss-cross the state of Rajasthan. Rajasthan has some of the best tarmac roads in India.
